The alternative weekly newspaper L. A. WEEKLY just
came out (in both pint and their web site) an article on
Xanadu, thanks to this weekend's telecast of the Rock
& Roll Hall of Fame that will feature ELO's induction.
The article (HERE) is a good write-up and featured a
short new interview with Robert Greenwald. The writer
does lean quite a bit on the 'roller disco' label a bit but
it is still a fine read.
As a side bar, the paper, through the official co-operation with Universal Studios, manages to hunt down many of the shooting locations, including the mysterious Platinum Palace. Great detective work! You can read that piece HERE!
