On the weekend of Xanadu’s 45th anniversary, a group of fans who call themselves The Xanadu Crew held The Ultimate Xanadu Experience, a 3-day celebration of all things Xanadu; Friday was a tribute concert, Saturday was the screening with a Q&A session with survivors of the movie and Sunday was a picnic near where the old Pan Pacific once stood. Highlights of each even was saved for posterity on YouTube: Parts One, Parts Two.
Each paid attendee were given a goodies bag (ABOVE) stuffed little neat Xanadu trinkets filled with the following:
a raffle ticket
four postcards
three buttons (one of which had random lines from the movie like “one dream, one muse” and ‘It’s 1941 all over again’)
A ‘thank you’ card
(BELOW) If you went to the picnic, you had two activity sheets waiting for you;
a double sided quiz sheet and a coloring page where you can colorize your version of the Nine Sisters album. I don’t know what the prizes were from both the quiz and raffle ticket though.
