It has been a week since the Ultimate Xanadu Experience or Xana-Days (or Xana-Days 2025 I like to call it) landed and now we dealing with the aftermath. Photos from the events are appearing on FaceBook, thanks to fans like Mike Pingel and UXE and I’m sure more will be coming. Also, UXE set up their own YouTube and IG account. So far, they already posted Kenny Ortega video address that was shown at the anniversary screening.

In fact, UXE, or The XanaCrew, were guests in an episode of Dennis Anyone? with Dennis Hensley that was posted just a few days before this event. Listen, accordingly!

Speaking of the screening, Jorge Ameer has posted a video on his YouTube account of his time there and it is a busy one, complete with the Q&A panel. This is a necessity to us fans who never got the chance to go. Last Minute UPDATE: A few hours after I posted this, Part 2 had dropped!!

A quick note: Michael Beck is not done with us fans just yet this year as it was announced he would be appearing at The Hollywood Show in Burbank on September 5 & 6, 2025….and if you’re a fan of 'The Warriors’, his co-star, Deborah Van Valkenburgh, will also be there.

Finally, we need to address Kino Lorber’s Xanadu Blu-Ray/UHD package and it’s failed explanation of that “Sizzle Reel” they keep mentioning; it’s either the Product Reel or the ‘Making Xanadu’ syndicated TV special…..and that’s all I’m going to say until I get that damned thing in my hands and when I do, I will report accordingly in the Review page. Kino has been VERY vague about those two words.

Then, there was a review posted on Mid-West Film Journal. The piece largely talked about the movie and not much else; even the review on the bonus feature felt it was taken from the ad copy. Even worse, the author, Evan Dossey, typed ‘Electronic Light Orchestra’. I got a headache when I bumped into that speed bump.

My thanks to David Mas for alerting me about the Electronic Light Orchestra posting.

More fer later,

Don-O
