Behind The Music: Josie & The Pussycats

Babyhead Magazine started out as a mini-comic zine by artist Chris Jordan in the early 90's. The title was Jordan's hyperactive mix of pop culture (mainly from the 80's), action and comedy.

One of the regular features in this publication was a parody of VH1's Behind The Music documentary series. Jem, Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids and other Saturday Morning Classics where fodder for this running gag. The most elaborate was a two parter on Josie & The Pussycats.

When the title got picked up and put into a regular comic format by Slave Labor Comics in 2002, the Josie BTS piece was one of the few old pieces that went with the transition.
